Kalkan Luxury Weddings is a brand new bespoke wedding planning and organising service in one of the most beautiful and oldest sea-side fishing villages in the south of Turkey.
The brain child of Jane Redman and Nina Assam, who collectively have over 10 years experience in both Kalkan and the wedding services industry.
Jane Redman
After visiting Kalkan for some years as a tourist, Jane decided to buy a home there which she has had now for more than seven years. During this time she has met many local residents, including business people, some of whom are now her friends who she enjoys a good working and personal relationship with. She runs her own Beauty & Tanning Salon in the UK, which has been established for 10 years and the Rental Business in Kalkan. She has joined forces with Nina as a business partner in the Wedding organising sector in Kalkan.
Nina Assam
Nina Assam has been working in London as a professional photographer for 15 years and has enjoyed working with clients such as IKEA, Living Etc magazine, First Choice group and The English Home magazine but to name a few. She gained membership of The association of Photographers www.the-aop.org in 2005. Her wedding work has taken her abroad and has earnt her a solid reputation as a specialist Eastern wedding photographer which included work for several members of the UAE Royal family. Nina loves photographing people and feels very honoured when photographing a wedding.

Marriage Legalities [Legalities]
Getting married in Turkey will give an extra special touch to your perfect day. However it is important to ensure a few simple steps are followed to ensure your day goes smoothly. Please note that this guide is correct at time of writing so it is important you follow the official links at the bottom for the latest information.
There are no minimum residency requirements, providing that you obtain a Certificate of No Impediment from the relevant authority in your country of residence.
If you have not obtained this document then you will be required to be resident in Turkey for 21 days prior to applying for a Certificate of No Impediment (see word document below), and a further 21 days for the relevant documentation to be issued. Therefore, you will need to allow a minimum of 42 days from the time you apply for the necessary documentation to the day of your wedding ceremony.
A number of items of documentation are also required for your wedding to legally take place, these documents must be originals and no more than 6 months out of date for the certificate on no impediment.
Certificate of No Impediment, not issued more than three months prior to the wedding day. Full ten year passport with minimum validity of six months. Full Birth Certificate. Passport 8 passport sized recent colour photographs. If you are divorced – a Decree Absolute If you have changed your name – Deed Poll If you are adopted – Adoption Certificate.
